Rooted in the present
My work explores themes of nature, environment and wellbeing. Modern life is full of distractions that can remove us from being in the present. It is too easy for us all to become enclosed in micro-worlds, narrowing our thoughts on the self. However, if we can find a place and space of stillness and contemplation, we may view things from a different perspective?
The majority of work in this exhibition explores nature, its beauty, fragility and state of flux. The exception is the series titled R is a number, which explores places of stillness throughout the lockdowns.
