Danielle Neill & Lucy Oates

This exhibition showcases Bristol based artists; Danielle Neill and Lucy Oates.
The artists are both utilising colour as a tool to translate their surrounding
environments. Whilst Danielle’s paintings are more landscape specific, Lucy has
been informed by urban motifs and dancing friends!

Danielle Neill graduated from Bath Spa in 2013 with a BA in Textiles.  Her practice
has shifted over from textile design to painting. She is exhibiting a collection of
abstract landscapes. Her paintings contain gestural strokes and drips that capture
notions of movement.  Lucy Oates is a Bristol based multi-disciplinary artist. She completed her BA in Contemporary Arts Practice at Bath Spa University in 2017, then went on to train at the Royal College of Art where she gained a MA in Mixed Media Textiles. Lucy has developed her own hybrid print making process, using traditional textile print methods onto recycled materials. Her process has many stages of techniques; screen printing, collaging and building the can canvas’s by hand before printing the final print on to the cans.
